Insurance coverage can vary depending on your specific plan, benefits, deductible, copay, and authorization requirements. Before beginning therapy, you are encouraged to contact your insurance company to verify your mental health benefits.

Helpful questions to ask your insurance company include:

  • Do I have outpatient mental health benefits?
  • What is my copay or coinsurance for therapy?
  • Do I have a deductible that must be met first?
  • Is telehealth or virtual therapy covered?
  • Do I need prior authorization?
  • Is Anchored Hope CC, LLC or Shawnda Dewberry, LMSW considered in-network?

Private Pay

Private pay may be an option for clients who do not wish to use insurance or whose insurance is not accepted.

Private pay allows you to receive therapy services without submitting claims to insurance. This may be helpful for clients who prefer more privacy, have out-of-network benefits, or do not want insurance involved in their care.

Private Pay Rate: $110-$95

Out-of-Network Benefits

If Anchored Hope CC, LLC is not in-network with your insurance plan, you may still have out-of-network benefits. This means your insurance company may reimburse you for a portion of therapy costs.

You can contact your insurance company and ask:

  • Do I have out-of-network mental health benefits?
  • What percentage of the session fee is reimbursed?
  • Do I have an out-of-network deductible?
  • Do I need a superbill?
  • How do I submit claims for reimbursement?

If applicable, a superbill may be provided upon request.

Good Faith Estimate

Under the No Surprises Act, clients who are uninsured or choosing not to use insurance have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate of expected charges for services.

A Good Faith Estimate gives you an estimate of the expected cost of services so you can make informed decisions about your care. This estimate is not a contract and does not require you to receive services from Anchored Hope CC, LLC.

You may request a Good Faith Estimate before scheduling or at any time during your care.

Payment

Accepted payment methods include:

  • Health Savings Account
  • Mastercard
  • Visa

Payment is typically collected through the secure client portal.

Anchored Hope CC, LLC offers virtual therapy for adults located in Michigan. Virtual sessions allow you to receive support from a private, comfortable space while engaging in meaningful therapeutic work.

Please plan to attend virtual sessions from a quiet, private location where you can speak openly and safely.

Mental Health Parity & Insurance Questions

Mental health parity means that many health plans are required to cover mental health and substance use treatment in a way that is generally comparable to medical and surgical benefits.

If you have concerns about your insurance coverage, denied claims, or mental health benefits, you may contact your insurance company directly or the Michigan Department of Insurance and Financial Services for more information.
