Therapy that helps you understand, cope, and move forward
Therapy with me is collaborative, practical, and grounded in compassion. You don’t have to come in knowing exactly what to say or what your goals should be. We’ll start with what feels most important, make sense of the patterns that may be keeping you stuck, and build tools you can use in everyday life.
- FAITH INTEGRATION— Christian faith and Scripture can be incorporated when desired
- COLLABORATIVE & PERSON-CENTERED — Supportive therapy tailored to your needs and goals
- CBT + DBT-INFORMED SKILLS — Practical tools for thoughts, emotions, and everyday coping
- MINDFULNESS & STRENGTHS-BASED CARE — Build awareness while recognizing the strengths you already have

FAITH INTEGRATION
Your Choice
Practical therapy with room for your faith.
“You don’t have to choose between practical therapy tools and your faith. When it’s meaningful to you, we can thoughtfully make room for both.”
For some clients, faith is an important part of how they understand themselves, cope with difficult seasons, and make decisions. Christian counseling at Anchored Hope CC allows you to bring those beliefs into therapy in a way that feels natural and supportive.
Your sessions can still include practical approaches such as CBT, DBT-informed skills, mindfulness, and strengths-based strategies, while also incorporating Scripture, prayer, biblical reflection, or faith-based coping tools when you would like them included. Faith integration is always guided by your preferences.
SCRIPTURE & BIBLICAL REFLECTION
Connecting faith-based truths with everyday challenges
PRAYER & FAITH-BASED MINDFULNESS
Creating space for grounding, reflection, and connection with God
PRACTICAL THERAPY SKILLS
CBT, DBT-informed tools, mindfulness, and strengths-based strategies
ALWAYS CLIENT-LED
Faith is incorporated only when and how you want it included

“Therapy can help you understand the patterns you learned to survive—and choose healthier ones for the life you’re building now.”

Progress can look different for everyone
Therapy is not one-size-fits-all, and progress does not always happen in a straight line. Over time, the work may help you better understand yourself, respond differently to challenges, and feel more equipped in everyday life.

Questions you may have before getting started
Starting therapy can come with a lot of questions. Here are a few things that may help you feel more informed and comfortable before reaching out.
Still have a question?
If you don’t see your question here, you’re welcome to reach out. I’m happy to help you understand the next steps.
What can I expect in the first session?
Your first session is a chance for us to get to know each other and talk about what brought you to therapy. We’ll explore what has been feeling difficult, what you would like support with, and any goals you may already have. If you’re not sure what you want from therapy yet, that’s okay—we can figure that out together.ke.
How long does therapy typically take?
There isn’t one set timeline for therapy. Some clients come for focused, short-term support, while others benefit from longer-term work. We’ll regularly check in on your progress, goals, and what continues to feel helpful so your therapy can evolve with your needs.
Do you offer online therapy?
Yes. Anchored Hope CC provides online therapy for adults located throughout Michigan. Sessions are held via a secure video platform, allowing you to attend therapy from a private, comfortable location that works for you.
Do you accept insurance?
Anchored Hope CC works with a variety of insurance plans and also offers private-pay options. Coverage and benefits can vary by plan, so I encourage you to review the Fees & Insurance page or reach out with questions about your specific coverage.
Can my Christian faith be included in therapy?
Yes. Christian counseling is available for clients who would like faith to be part of their therapy experience. Depending on your preferences, sessions may include Scripture, prayer, biblical reflection, or faith-based coping practices alongside practical therapy skills. Faith integration is always optional and guided by you.
How will I know if therapy is helping?
Progress can look different for everyone. You may notice changes such as feeling less overwhelmed, responding differently to stress, understanding your patterns more clearly, setting healthier boundaries, or feeling more confident in your decisions. We’ll regularly talk about what is changing and what still needs support.
What if I’m not sure what I need help with?
You don’t need to have everything figured out before you begin. Some clients know exactly what they want to work on, while others simply know that something feels off or that they want life to feel different. We can start there and work together to identify what would be most helpful.
