What Is a Good Faith Estimate?

Under the No Surprises Act, individuals who are uninsured or choosing not to use insurance have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate of expected charges for therapy services.

A Good Faith Estimate provides an overview of the anticipated cost of services based on your treatment needs. This helps you understand what to expect financially before beginning therapy.

What Does It Include?

Your Good Faith Estimate may include:

  • The cost per therapy session
  • The estimated number of sessions
  • The total expected cost of care

Please note that this estimate is based on the information available at the time it is created and may change depending on your needs, progress, or treatment plan.

Important Information

  • A Good Faith Estimate is not a contract and does not require you to begin or continue services.
  • Actual costs may vary if your treatment needs change.
  • You have the right to request an updated estimate at any time.

Your Rights

If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you have the right to dispute the charges.

How to Request a Good Faith Estimate

You can request a Good Faith Estimate before scheduling services or at any point during your care.
